MIAMI BEACH, Fla., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTCQB: CCGI) ("CarCharging"), the largest owner, operator, and provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, today announced that it has finalized an agreement with the Downtown Memphis Commission in Memphis, Tennessee, for the operation and maintenance of 12 Blink Level 2 EV chargers. As a part of this agreement, CarCharging will own and operate the Blink EV charging stations in the commission's garages on Gayoso Avenue, N. Front Street, Peabody Place, and Washington Avenue.

"We are pleased to work with CarCharging to maintain and operate the Blink EV chargers in downtown Memphis," said Jerome Rubin, Vice President of Operations. "Not only are the Blink EV charging stations a key part of our efforts to continue to make Memphis into a cleaner, greener metropolitan area, but we look forward to installing additional chargers in the future in order to encourage electric vehicle ownership and therefore, reducing overall emissions."

Farkas, CarCharging's Founder and Chief Executive Officer. "We are grateful to cities like Memphis that partner with us as we continue to improve and expand the Blink Network."
