Car Charging Group Partners With Laxmi Inc. of Palm Bay to Provide EV Charging Services at Comfort Suites Hotel in Palm Bay, Fla.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. and PALM BAY, Fla., Sept. 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Car Charging Group Inc. (OTCBB:CCGI), a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, has announced that it has signed a contract with Laxmi Inc. of Palm Bay, owner of the Comfort Suites at 1175 Malabar Rd. in Palm Bay, Fla. to provide electric car charging services at its hotel, the Comfort Suites at 1175 Malabar Rd. in Palm Bay, Fla.

"We are pleased to announce our partnership with Laxmi Inc. of Palm Bay," said Michael D. Farkas, chief executive officer of Car Charging Group. "Earlier this year, President Obama challenged the country to put one million EVs on the road by 2015. However, without a proper EV charging infrastructure we do not believe this goal is not attainable. Through partnerships with forward-thinking hotel owners like Laxmi, we can establish the EV charging infrastructure that will allow the nation to reach and surpass this milestone."

Car Charging Group plans to install Level II, 240-volt, ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for EVs, manufactured by Coulomb Technologies, the leading electric vehicle charging solutions company.  Comfort Suites' guests now have access to the ChargePoint Network, the largest global online network connecting electric vehicle drivers to unoccupied charging stations. Through the network, EV drivers benefit from ChargePoint mobile apps (iPhone, Blackberry and Android), mapping services and driver support services.

"To be successful in the hotel industry, you have to able to recognize industry trends early and adopt them when and where applicable," said Theresa Cecilio-Pye, Regional Director of Operations of Laxmi Inc. of Palm Bay. "Electric cars are where the auto industry will be in 10 years. We're able to offer EV charging services to our guests at no cost to us while realizing a percentage of the money generated. It's a win-win situation."

Car Charging Group provides EV charging stations at no charge to property owners and managers while retaining ownership, thus allowing EV and Plug In Vehicle drivers access to convenient locations and allows its partners to realize a percentage of the charging revenue generated.
